On October 25, DuPage County State’s Attorney Bob Berlin joined Fight Crime: Invest in Kids for the organization’s 20th Annual #LightsOnAfterSchool celebration. The event was held in West Chicago at Leman Middle School.

The event celebrated positive youth development. It coincided with the release of a report by Fight Crime: Invest in Kids that provides statistical evidence that after school hours are a prime time for juvenile crime, and that quality after-school programs have been proven to help reduce such crime in our communities.

Bob is proud to be a member of the Executive Committee of Fight Crime: Invest in Kids Illinois. In this capacity he has supported the programs’ goals and initiatives. Bob believes in the proactive approach that Fight Crime: Invest in Kids brings to DuPage County. He hopes to strengthen the program’s ties to, and support from, local municipalities and law enforcement agencies.

Bob was joined by DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick and West Chicago Police Chief Mike Uplegger in West Chicago.
