PATCH: "Villa Park Suspect Knows 'How DuPage County Is,' Favors Chicago"

Molly Borowski, 31 (d.o.b. 5/31/1994) of the 1800 block of S. Hamlin Avenue, appeared in First Appearance Court on Tuesday, August 26th, 2025 and was ordered detained per the State’s petition.

VILLA PARK - As reported in the Elmhurst Patch by reporter David Guliani on August 27, 2025:

A Chicago woman who was driving a stolen car sped away Tuesday after a Villa Park officer tried to stop her, authorities said.

[At] about 3 a.m. Tuesday, the officer attempted to pull over 31-year-old Molly Borowski, who sped past with one headlight, according to a news release from DuPage County prosecutors. She then reached speeds of 109 mph between Addison Road and Villa Avenue and ran red lights at North Avenue and Route 83 and North and York Street in Elmhurst, police said.

Officers successfully deployed devices called "spike strips" on North Avenue, flattening two front tires. Borowski continued to flee officers, heading to Cook County on Interstate 290, but ultimately came to a stop, police said.

Borowski told officers that she knew "how DuPage County is" and would rather be in Chicago, police said.
